Wind Farm Jobs : Financial & Project Analyst Oxford £30 - 35,000 + pkg
Independent Project Developer are looking to expand and improve their financial and project analysis with financial modeling and project management skills. This position has input into the strategic direction of the business of the group in a number of markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The role is varied and will allow the individual to be involved in front-line project analysis and support of both a financial and a non-financial nature, including:
• Working with the Project Managers and Developers to provide financial appraisals of new and
• existing projects in the UK and across North America.
• Working with the Project Managers and Developers to provide general project support on new and
• existing projects in the UK and across North America.
• Supporting senior management, in particular the Finance Director, with project financing, project
• divestment and tender support initiatives.
• Assisting in contract negotiations.
• Responsibility for a detailed understanding of electricity markets, their functioning and pricing.
• Being a team player.
KEY SKILLS
• Awareness of renewable energy policy and the complexities of developing sites for wind energy.
• An aptitude for problem solving and experience of driving complex projects forward to achieve set objectives.
• Project finance, equity and debt structures.
• Evaluate and control existing financial models.
• Advanced MS Office spreadsheet and business modelling skills.
• Developing financial models for project financing purposes.
• Due diligence and transaction support.
• understand the energy industry and ideally the renewables sector (the latter not essential but
• desirable).
• Well developed communication skills, especially report writing (MS Word and MS Powerpoint) and
• the analysis and presentation of complex technical issues in a clear, concise format.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary, pension contribution up to 6% of salary; private healthcare.
PLACE OF WORK
The post will be based full time in Oxford but will require travel in the UK and occasional travel overseas.
HOLIDAYS
In addition to public holidays the employee is entitled to twenty five (25) working days.
