My client is a multiservice utility company with a turnover in excess of £200m they have notable project awards with the Olympic Delivery Authority, Network Rail, Water and Power Companies. Their Rail division turnover £40m it is fully established and has a good reputation in the industry working with both Network Rail and LUL. They are a Tier 2 supply on Network Rail Multi-Asset Framework.
My client is looking for a Planning Manager for their Rail division the purpose of the role: Management of Business Planning systems and procedures in accordance with Business Plan. Production of monthly business cost, value and resource reports and development of all planning staff. Reporting to the Rail Operations Manager the successful person will be responsible for all the companies planners (4 permanent) and will be in charge of all pre tender and post tender planning duties.
The successful candidate will have experience planning for a main contractor on network Rail projects, be from an engineering background and be proficient in the use of P3 planning software.
