Working within the civil Rail section of a major Contractor's Infrastructure Division, a vacancy exists for a Senior Estimator based within its regional office in Grangemouth, Scotland.The successful applicant MUST have had a minimum of 10 years estimating and site experience and a minimum qualification of an HNC in Civil Engineering & Heavy Civils and Rail Civils experience. (Not PWAY or Track)
The main duties of the job will include:
Production of accurate cost estimates for both direct and indirect costs, using prices consistent with current market conditions.
Preparation of subcontractor and material enquiries, analysis of returns for compliance and use in the estimate.
Assess resource levels and production outputs to compute work costs
Liaison with other members of the Work Winning Team to produce successful submissions.
Computer aided estimating software is essential and planning skills would be advantageous.
