Major Civil engineering contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor or a Quantity Surveyor looking to make the step up, to support their regional projects in the South East region. Managing a new £8m widening scheme in the Berkshire area, The Ideal candidate must have extensive experience in working on civil engineering projects, specifically Roads/Highways, be HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying,Strong Commercial Skills, a team player but also able to work on own initiative, Productive supervision of subordinates including adequate planning, monitoring and control & Ability to manage a team on complex projects
Responsibilities
Full quantity surveying duties
Provision of pre and post contract project control and responsibility
Staff structure and formal routes of reporting
Planning, organisation and control
Monitoring all work executed, at all stages, to ensure that an accurate and professional service is offered
Guidance of team members in technical and contractual obligations and duties
Professional interface with other disciplines and the client's representative
To ensure the quality and timeliness of service delivery to clients
