Rail : Senior Project Manager Watford £50 - 60,000 + pkg
Quality Civil Engineering main contractor seek professional Senior Project Manager for their Rail division (Network Rail). Predominately working for the client Network Rail they are looking for a Rail experienced Project Manager who is capable of managing up to £10m worth of work a year and in addition who has Bid management experience.
The successful candidate will in effect manage their own business unit because they would have profit and loss responsibility for the work they initially win and subsequently deliver. Reporting to the Rail Operations Manager they will liaise with Business Development Manager, Estimators, pre tender planners to produce quality competitive tenders for Network Rail. Once the projects have been awarded the project manager will be responsible for a project team consisting of project engineers, supervisors and quantity surveyors.
The Network Rail projects this company typically delivers are design and build projects such as: telecommunications, heavy power, civil engineering, M&E, CIS/CCTV/PA, lineside structures, routeworks and cabling. The company is a main contractor with a turnover c£200m their rail division currently doing £25m, they are looking to double this in the next 2 years.
The successful candidate must have a Degree in Civil Engineering, proven project management/contracting experience within the Rail industry, Commercially and financially competent with strong negotiation skills, Experienced in implementing and maintaining HSQE and Management procedures & practices, Technically conversant with all relevant rail industry standards, specifications and practices and have bid management experience.
