Oil and Gas : Senior Process Engineer Manchester

A member of the Engineering Team You will be responsible for the timely completion of all process deliverables, specifications,drawings and technical requisitions within strenuous quality and safety criteria. Leading and assisting in the career development of the Process Engineering Team. Provide assistance to the Business Development Department in the preparation and presentation of proposals.
The Ideal person will be Being a chartered engineer and MIChemE qualified, you will have a considerable depth of experience to execute and manage Feasibility Studies, FEED and EPC projects for the Refinery and Petrochemical industries.This will have been gained in a Contractor or Operating Company environment – extensive experience of design is required as a minimum.
The successful candidate will have proven lead experience of Refinery and/or Petrochemical Facility Design including:
a)Technical specification preparation/technical bid evaluation of key upstream and downstream process equipment, such as: Reactors, Compressors, Distillation Design, Gas/Liquid Drying, Utility design and generation.
b)P& ID development through all design stages: conceptual, preliminary, detailed engineering, construction.
c)Proven track record or be able to demonstrate your ability to lead a team of Process Engineers in downstream Hydrocarbon design.
d)A superior knowledge of the process design functions with the ability to plan, organize and direct a large design team.A strong knowledge of other disciplines is necessary to ensure that the Process Department interfaces effectively with other departments within the organization both within the UK and globally.
e)Leadership skills are a pre-requisite which are essential in developing and motivating the staff under your control.
Duties:
·Resource Management
To advise Engineering Management of required personnel necessary to maintain the project production/planning for his assigned project.
·Planning/Budget
To review project plan and allocated budget for acceptability and inform the Project Manager and/or Engineering Management of any unrealistic targets.
To ensure all work within his scope of responsibility is completed in accordance with the accepted project plan and within the work hour budget allocated.
·Client Liaison
To ensure all client documentation is reviewed for acceptability and updated as agreed by the Client and Project Management.
To refer all client requests for deviation to the Project Manager.
·Project Liaison
To attend all necessary progress meetings to ensure Project and Engineering Managers are fully aware of any problems affecting the productivity of the Group.
·Technical Participation
To ensure timely completion of all project specifications, designs, drawings and requisitioning.
To ensure all documentation within the scope of his responsibility is prepared, checked, reviewed and approved in accordance with the Group's Working Instructions for that project.
To ensure all vendors bids and documentation are reviewed for technical acceptability.
To give any necessary technical assistance to other design groups assigned to his project.
·Technology
To enhance the capability of his discipline by involvement with relevant technology trends via journals, papers, and attendance at conferences etc.
·Staff Development
To assist discipline management in the development of subordinate staff.Also to advise Engineering Management of training needs for staff.
·Proposals & Sales Support
To participate in proposals and sales support as required by Engineering Management.
