Oil and Gas : Senior Instrument Engineer Teesside c£50k + Pkg
An acknowledged World Leader as a contractor in the nuclear, oil and gas process industries seeks an experienced Principal Instrument Engineer. Due to an increase in workload and to allow for career development we now have a strategic requirement for a Senior Instrument Engineer.
Based in NE the ideal person must be Degree in electrical and electronic engineering with a bias towards Control & Instrumentation, Proven experience as a Principal or Senior Instrument Engineer within the oil and gas, nuclear or power engineering sector, Demonstrable experience in the detailed design of gas and / or nuclear plants, with in depth knowledge of hazardous area regulations and design requirements, Experience in safety system design, Experience in dealing with package plant suppliers, with particular emphasis on control and safety system integration to the main plant, Experience in a specialist area preferred i.e. metering, analysis, communications, CCTV and Proven track record as a project discipline engineer on several projects in a similar environment.
Duties
The Principal Instrument Engineer will demonstrate their expertise in field instrumentation, control and safety valve sizing and specification, metering system design to instrument and control system integration and loop design. Your leadership and management skills will be tested as you will act as Lead Engineer for a team of up to 15 engineers on multidisciplinary projects. In addition you will need to demonstrate your prior knowledge in planning, cost control and change management due to the number of variable projects we are currently working on.
