Oil and Gas : Instrument Engineer Teesside £40 - 55,000 + Pkg
A main Contractor within the oil and gas sector is seeking an Instrument Engineer to working on multi disciplined schemes. Based out of a Teesside office and working on schemes in around the NE and Scotland.
Reporting to the Chief Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, this key role is required to provide instrument engineering expertise to projects, tenders and studies. You will ensure that all deliverables are completed in a timely manner to the required level of accuracy in accordance with Company procedures, the basis of design, and the contract. You will also ensure cost effective solutions are applied to meet project objectives.
Duties of this role include:
� Maintain design responsibility
� Approve the work of other instrument engineers
� Liaise with other disciplines
� Liaise with Client and Vendor Reps
The successful candidate will ideally possess knowledge in;
� Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
� Combined Safety Systems (CSS)
� Fire & Gas Systems
� Communications
� Security Systems
� Knowledge & classification of Safety Integrity Levels (SIL)
� Packaged equipment
� Selection of hazardous area equipment
� Selection & sizing of field instrumentation
Your ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team will ensure your success in this role. Applicants are required to possess a Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Instrument/Control Engineering, be competent with selection of equipment for hazardous area use and have a minimum of 10 years experience with Oil & Gas projects.
