Environmental Services : Senior Cable Engineering Consultant Offshore Development and Cables

£45,000 to £65,000 depending on experience
A highly respected supplier of Environmental and Regulatory services to the Marine, Water and Oil + Gas industries has recently been acquired by a large, multinational engineering firm and has the view to triple in size over the next 12 months.
Based in a quaint village in the Hampshire countryside with great transport links in to London and the South Coast this is an ideal location with plenty of space within the existing office to cope with their expansion plans.
The primary purpose of this role is to work in a dynamic team environment and play a pivotal part in building the business through efficient project delivery from bidding through to project completion, good Client Relationship Management, and proficient personal and staff development. The underlying objective is to ensure delivery of value for clients and Intertek.
The job holder will get the opportunity to work on large offshore renewable energy (wind, wave, tidal) projects and high voltage power interconnector projects in the UK and overseas.
Essential qualifications and experience required are:-
- 5 or more years experience in offshore industry (offshore wind, power or telecoms).
- Project management activities in an engineering or infrastructure project.
- Project Management activities within a complex engineering / infrastructure project.
- Exposure to HSE for offshore projects
- Taken a leading role or supported the bidding process on an engineering project
- Technical understanding of offshore installation processes, such as, permits and consents, survey, landfall works, cable installation, cable storage facilities, vessel operations, etc.
Desirable experience includes:-
- Offshore Wind or Interconnector (Power/Telecoms) experience
- Engineering Degree or HND/HNC Qualification or equivalent
- Recognised Project Management Qualification (e.g., APM, PMI, PRINCE2)
